Golden Eagle

Living in the North-East of Scotland it is a privilege to see birds of prey... this gave me inspiration for The Golden Eagle.

Again, I started out creating a skeleton frame of the Eagle head.

 

I decided to develop my technique to provide a covering for the frame.  Individually cutting feathers from sheet steel and welding to the frame.

I thought I would try a different finish to the sculpture with a grey carbon effect.

 

 

I added a wooden base which has really helped to show the piece off. Pieces like this can be commissioned with your own personalised plaque added.
